Greendale Schools Special Education Paraprofessional Jennifer Mueller has joined the State of Wisconsin's Pilot Class of its Teacher Apprenticeship Program! Ms. Mueller signed her official apprenticeship document in a ceremony with state officials and the Governor this month. The teacher apprenticeship pilot program is a new addition to a more than 100-year-old training model. The program will train teachers for instruction in elementary and middle school classrooms using the Wisconsin Apprenticeship earn-while-you-learn structure. Participants complete education requirements, certifications, and licensure while learning to be a teacher in the classroom. This is one way the State and local districts are addressing the need for licensed educators. Congratulations, Jennifer!
