Congratulations to our Employee of Merit Award Winners!
We are grateful for your work on behalf of the students of Greendale Schools!
The Greendale Schools' Employee of Merit Award program is to recognize employees or groups of employees who have provided meritorious service: those who have done something special during the year which could include innovative ideas or teaching procedures, contributions to the improvement of operations and practices of the district, implementation of an innovative idea or program.
Nomination Procedures
Nomination is by fellow employees, parents, administrators, students or by self nomination. Nomination is in the form of a letter or letters specifying why that individual or group should receive special recognition and reflect the purpose of the award as noted above. Nomination letters should be submitted to Julie Grotophorst. Nominations are accepted each spring and close on June 30 of the year. All nominations shall be kept confidential.
Selection
A group of former Employee of Merit Award winners will serve on the selection committee. Committee members will select one employee or team of employees from each elementary building, one from the middle school and three from the high school to be recipients of the Employee of Merit award. Staff members not assigned to a building will be considered in the high school category. Names of the recipients will be kept secure until the formal announcement is made. Recipients who receive an award shall not be eligible to receive another award for five years.
Award
Recipients will be announced at the annual opening meeting and appropriate publicity will be given. Each recipient or team may use the award at his/her/their discretion. Funds will come from an anonymous private donor.
Former Award Winners
Employees who have won within the past five years are not eligible to win this year. Please see the list below of employees who have received the reward within the past five years. All other current employees of the Greendale School District are eligible. Questions may be directed to Julie Grotophorst, Human Resources Coordinator, at (414) 423-2703.
