Raptor Visitor Management System
Beginning in November 2018, Greendale Schools is utilizing the Raptor® Visitor Management System in all of its schools. The system allows the school to monitor who is in the buildings at all times. It utilizes an automated system to screen all visitors and upon entering any District school all parents, guardians and guests, entering our buildings during normal school hours, are asked to:
- Check in through the front office as usual;
- Provide a driver’s license or other government issued photo ID for scanning in the Raptor system;
- Receive a printed visitor’s badge prior to proceeding. The badge is to be worn while at the school and returned to the office upon departure.
Upon subsequent visits, approved guests only need to have their name typed into the Raptor system to receive a printed visitor’s badge.
The Raptor System compares the visitor's name and date of birth with a national sex offender database. No other data from the ID is gathered or recorded and the information is not shared with any outside agency. More information is available on Raptor in this FAQ document. PLEASE NOTE: Raptor DOES NOT replace the current Greendale Schools Volunteer Background check process.
