Students Focus on Mindfulness in January
College Park's January Character Focus is "Mindfulness." We started our week back to in person learning, reading our book of the month, I am Peace, written by Susan Verde. In person and virtual students joined together for the book. Before reading, classes discussed what it means to be mindful; aware of our thoughts, feelings and surroundings. Practicing mindfulness helps us focus on the present instead of worrying about the past or future. During the month we will revisit the focus and discuss ways we find peace in our lives. Additional activities for the month include practicing breathing strategies and yoga to help us gain peace. #WeAreInspiringMinds #PantherStrong
