Spread Some Cheer Through Coffee
This is a friendly reminder that we are bringing a coffee cart to Greendale Middle School in February! This special treat will provide our middle school teachers and staff with a specialty coffee during the school day as a small thank-you for all they do.
This is a fun and simple way for parents and guardians to give back and show appreciation.

GMS 6th graders wrapped up their research unit on our changing oceans recently with a video call to a real-life explorer -- Mark Wood, who travels to remote places around the world. Mr. Wood has led polar and mountain expeditions for over twenty years in areas including the Arctic Circle, Antarctica and the Himalayas, plus the Norwegian, Canadian and Alaskan high Arctic. He has trained and led teams and supported film crews for documentaries. This was a an extraordinary culminating activity and the students were fascinated by his stories and adventures! #LearnGrowEngageGreendale #CultivatingExcellence

GHS Sources of Strength is hosting a week of activities related to the strength of generosity at the high school. Thursday's event was a hot cocoa sale in the MPR during the lunch hours. Students and staff are very excited to work together at reaching the goal of raising $2,000! For info on SMA, click here.

The community celebrated the Greendale Marching Band's upcoming appearance at the Rose Parade with a special celebration on Saturday afternoon in the gym at GHS. The band performed the music from its fall field show, Snow Angel, and the selection it will perform on New Year's Day in the 5.5 mile parade in Pasadena, California. Standby for details and television broadcast information on the best way to see our students perform in the parade! Thanks so much to EVERYONE who brought coloring books to donate to Shriner's Hospital in California, and to our entire community for its outstanding support of the fine arts in Greendale. Our students are excited to share their Panther Spirit during the parade.

I hope this message finds you well and enjoying a little blast of winter cold here in Wisconsin. A reminder to all that we will be walking to the high school tomorrow morning for an assembly. The first group will start their walk at 8:45 am, and we should all be in our seats by 9:15 am. We will be there until 10:15 am, and then take our return walk to the middle school. Please have your student dress for the weather! Many middle school students do not wear hats, gloves, and sometimes even coats during the winter months. On days like tomorrow, it will be important that they do.
We are giving many reminders to students that they should follow the expectations of the adults and walk safely to GHS. A firm reminder to all is to keep the snow on the ground and keep our hands to ourselves. Please remind your child of these expectations as well.
Thank you for your support in this!
We have our Cafe Zupas fundraiser tonight from 4:00-9:00 pm. Be sure to get to Cafe Zupas and tell them Greendale Middle School sent you. Thank you!
