At the July 14, 2025, Board of Education Meeting, Board members approved the 2025-2026 Greendale Schools' Academic Standards. Academic standards ensure students are academically prepared for college and career. Currently, the Greendale Board of Education approves curriculum for content areas under review on a six-year cycle in June. As part of the curriculum approval process, the report outlines the academic standards used in the development of the curriculum. As part of the curriculum review process, research in best practice and college readiness standards are examined.
The curriculum currently in place in each content area is aligned with the Wisconsin Academic Standards. In many cases, national standards and ACT standards are considered and encompassed within the curriculum approval process. Additionally, many of the Wisconsin Academic Standards have been reviewed in conjunction with a set of national standards, mirroring the national standards with adjustments appropriate to the State of Wisconsin. More information on the approved academic standards is shared on this link.
