Dump Truck Drop-Off Today!

Today, there was no missing a bright orange, three-ton industrial dump truck that pulled up to College Park that made Mr. Brock's car look like a toy. As the hydraulic brakes hissed with the force of a tired dragon, Levi, one of our lucky raffle winners, didn't shrink back in his seat. Instead, he grabbed his backpack gave the driver a thumbs-up, and hopped down from cab happy to start the school day! A BIG thank you to our Greendale DPW for making the day very special for one of our students!

Have You Ordered Your Yearbook Yet?

College Park yearbooks can now be ordered directly from VIP Photography. This is the only way a yearbook can be ordered. The cost is $13.00 + tax per book. Please click here if you are interested in purchasing one. Yearbooks will be distributed to students the last week of school. The student photo and yearbook order links can also be found on our College Park website under “Parent Resources”. Yearbook orders will be taken until May 3. This is a firm deadline.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Will my yearbook be sent home?
: No, yearbooks ordered before the ordering deadline will be delivered to the school to be handed out. Our ordering system requires a shipping address, but no matter what is entered there, the yearbooks have a school delivery

Did I order a yearbook?
: Parents will receive an email when their order is confirmed. Have them search their inbox (or spam folder) for an email with the terms "yearbook" or "VIP". If they did not get that email, it's likely that their order didn't go through. Parents can contact our customer support at support@vipis.com or (262)375-4457 for help.

Will there be late ordering?: Late ordering will only be available after the last day of school. Books will be more expensive and be sent directly home over the summer.

A Blazing Bright Start to the Day!

Talk about arriving in style! Two of our very own students had the morning of a lifetime today when they ditched the yellow bus for a bright red fire truck.

After winning the PTO Raffle, one of our students and a friend were dropped off right at their front doors by the Greendale Fire Department crew. With the lights flashing and the siren giving a playful chirp, they pulled up to the school drop-off line as the undisputed VIPs of the morning.

A huge thank you to our Greendale Firefighters for making this possible and for giving our students a commute they’ll never forget.

The College Park community was thrilled to welcome an incredibly talented group, the Glencastle Irish Dancers to the school for a special performance. From lightening-fast footwork, to the graceful, gravity defying leaps of the soft-shoe dances, their performance was a masterclass of precision and energy. The students got a front row seat to a rich cultural tradition that blends athletic power with rhythmic artistry and enjoyed every minute! Our 4th graders also tried some precision dancing to a traditional Irish folk dance. Their enthusiasm was absolutely infectious. You could hear plenty of laughter while they used their teamwork and coordination to show off their Irish dancing talent!

Saturday, March 21 is World Down Syndrome Day! 💙💛 We can celebrate our friends with an extra chromosome and advocating for a world with real inclusion. On Friday, students and staff can wear bright, crazy socks to celebrate the uniqueness of the 21st chromosome. You can also wear blue and yellow.

A quote for World Down Syndrome Day is "Assume that I can, so maybe I will."

This means that we should believe all of our friends can do great things no matter our differences.

In the evening on March 3, College Park saw what happens when high-tech meets high energy. Our Wild Robot Event was a complete success and a total gear-shifter! We want to give a massive shout-out to the incredible parents and students who turned our "wilderness" into a playground of innovation. It wasn't just about nuts and bolts; it was about seeing the next generation of engineers, designers, and problem-solvers bring some their mechanical creations to life. From the first spark of an idea to the final robot the creativity on display was truly off the charts. When you mix curiosity with technology, the results are nothing short of electric.

In a first-grade classroom, math isn’t just about numbers; it’s a social event. When six and seven-year-olds team up to solve problems, you see a beautiful mix of logic and negotiation.

Whether they are hunched over a pile of colorful counting bears or passing a tablet back and forth to solve a logic puzzle, these "math huddles" are where the real magic happens. Watching them collaborate reminds us that math is a team sport. They aren't just learning $2 + 2 = $4, they’re learning how to listen, pivot, and celebrate a breakthrough together.

Mystery Reader Visits College Park During "Read Across College Park Week"!
As part of our Read Across America Week celebrations, College Park was thrilled to have a Mystery Reader come to read to our classes on Tuesday.

Was it be a local hero? A talented parent? Or perhaps a familiar face from the front office in a very clever disguise? We had a contest for the students to guess and Dawson in 4th grade won the prize! It was our PE Teacher, Mr. Hohensee dressed up as the Greendale Panther! This was a great way to encourage all of our students to read! #ReadAcrossAmerica #MysteryReader #LoveOfReading

Hello College Park families!

As you’ve likely heard, our annual College Park PTO Raffle is taking place this Friday, March 6th, from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm in the MPR at Greendale High School. We hope you will be able to join us to participate in the festivities!

We understand not all students will be able to come to the Raffle on Friday evening. To give every student an opportunity to win a raffle prize, we will be offering a special “pre-shop” of the grade-level raffle baskets, other fun baskets, and the exciting teacher and staff “experiences” on Thursday, March 5th, during school hours. Teachers will provide time for students to browse the raffle baskets and enter their tickets.

All students will receive 3 tickets at no charge. These tickets can be used either during the pre-shop or the night of the Raffle. If you would like, you may send money into class with your student to purchase additional raffle tickets.

Please send either cash in exact amount (change not available) or a check made out to College Park PTO. Prior to the shopping day, you will need to fill these out at home and return them. Students are only filling out the 3 free in-class. (Student first name, last name, grade level, and teachers name).

Raffle ticket prices are as follows:
$1 for 1 ticket
$5 for 6 tickets
$10 for 15 tickets
$20 for 30 tickets

Tickets will be available for purchase starting today.
If you have any questions regarding raffle ticket sales for students this week, please reach out to the raffle organizers Melissa Rios, Nancy Bontempo, or Ashley Becker at CPPTO@greendaleschools.org.

NOTE: For the night of the raffle, we are bringing back the system where you will not need address labels to label your raffle tickets. You will fill out your information once on a spreadsheet when purchasing your tickets, and you will be assigned a number that you will put on your tickets. NO CRAMPED HANDS, NO PREP TIME, or WASTED ADDRESS LABELS! More time spent having fun!

Thank you!

College Park fourth graders completed their Geology unit with a special presentation by the school's principal, Mr. Brock. During their studies, the students learned about rocks, minerals, and erosion. Mr. Brock explained how the Ice Age resulted in deposition of many sediments, including flakes of gold, in the soil in our state. A gold-panning enthusiast, Mr. Brock showed the students how to separate sediment using a sluice to find gold.

Read Across College Park- Let’s LEVEL UP Our Reading the Week of March 2-6th, 2026

Hello College Park Community! We have some exciting news for the week of March 2-6th to engage students in all kinds of fun reading activities. The week is outlined below.

Monday: Level-Up Your Reading!!
Wear your favorite Mario costume/attire and set a book-reading goal for the week.

Tuesday:
Wild Robot Movie and Family Event
Students will watch the Wild Robot in school that day. Popcorn will be provided! Families can attend the Wild Robot family event after school. More information to come on the family event.

Wednesday: Masked Reader!!
The whole school will meet in the gym at 1:30 P.M. for a quick read-aloud by a costumed reader. Throughout the day, students will have a chance to drop their guess of the masked reader into a bucket in the office. A name will be drawn at the end of the day for a $15 gift card to either Half-Price Books or Barnes and Noble.

Thursday: College Park Staff Read-A-Loud Stations
We will plan a time during that day when students will be able to move around to different places in the upper area of the building to hear a chosen book. We will provide a list of who is reading what and where. Then, students will self-select where they want to go and what they would like to listen to.

Friday: Pajama Day and Read-In
Students can wear PJs, bring a favorite book, a small flashlight, and a blanket. Classroom teachers will decide when they would like to set aside 20-30 minutes for students to quietly read.

**Don’t forget our College Park Raffle will be held at Greendale High School
Friday night from 5:30-7:30 PM.
