GMS celebrated the end of our 8th Graders term as middle school students with a farewell assembly in Gavinski Stadium. The event included student speakers, performances by the 8th Grade Band, Choir, and Orchestra, and distribution of completion certificates. Mr. Curry and Dr. Amidzich acknowledged each student individually through the certificate distribution and with words of advices as these young people transition to Greendale High School Students. These GHS students completed the rigorous PLTW - Biomedical Science pathway! Over the last four years , they collaborated and worked through real-world biomedical obstacles and brainstormed possible solutions. These young adults are about to embark on the next step to expand their knowledge and help society in numerous ways (nursing, neuroscience, engineering, pharmacy, Marines, CNA, pre-med). At a recent ceremony they introduced their post-GHS plans; one senior provided a Medical TedTalk; and they celebrated by receiving their white coats.

GMS 7th graders participated in the annual Spring Clean & Green service-learning opportunity. Students were divided into teams with a parent volunteer to help Greendale senior citizens with spring cleaning projects like raking, cleaning garages, moving mulch and removing debris or to work cleaning up areas in the Greendale Community. Great work, Panthers!
