We are grateful for their work on behalf of the students of Greendale Schools!

In its 37th year, the Greendale Schools' Employee of Merit Award program recognizes employees or groups of employees who have provided meritorious service throughout the year. This special recognition honors those who have:

  • Implemented innovative ideas or teaching procedures

  • Made significant contributions to improving district operations and practices

  • Successfully launched innovative programs or initiatives

  • Gone above and beyond in their service to our school community

Anyone can nominate deserving staff members! Nominations are welcomed from fellow employees, parents and families, administrators, and students. Self-nominations are also encouraged. Nominations are welcome throughout the school year and should be submitted as a letter explaining why the individual or group deserves special recognition. All nomination letters should be sent to Julie Grotophorst, District Director of Human Resources, and must be received by June 30 each year. All nominations are kept strictly confidential.

A committee of previous Employee of Merit Award winners carefully reviews all nominations. The selection committee chooses one employee or team from each elementary building, one recipient from the middle school, three recipients from the high school.

As we celebrate this year's winners, we encourage you to keep an eye out for the exceptional work happening throughout our district. If you witness innovative teaching, outstanding service, or creative problem-solving, consider nominating that individual or team for next year's awards. Your recognition is important in acknowledging the hard work of our dedicated staff.
